The majority of this section of the Benton MacKaye trail lies in the Big Frog Wilderness. When combined with Section 10 in Georgia, you can hike 15.7 miles of pristine trail without crossing a single road. If you're looking for a true remote wilderness experience in the Southeast, this is it! <br />

The northern end of this section lies next to the Ocoee River. The southern end lies on the TN/GA line. If hiking north to south, pick up the trail descriptions in Georgia.<br />
